convenant college is looking for a new president

President Niel Nielson has announced his resignation at Covenant College, a PCA college located in Lookout Mountain GA. As a result, a presidential search committee was formed to find a new president. This is the email, that was send to all alumni:

Dear Covenant alumni,

With President Niel Nielson stepping down from Covenant College’s presidency on June 30, 2012, we are in the process of searching for and selecting Covenant’s sixth president. (Click here to see the initial announcement of Dr. Nielson’s upcoming resignation.)

The executive committee of the Board of Trustees has appointed a Presidential Search Committee, composed of thirteen members who represent the board, alumni, students, faculty, and staff, and they bring experience, leadership, and a love of Covenant College.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Committee, I ask you to join us in prayer for God’s blessing upon this presidential search. We also invite you to share your comments and nominations with the committee.

Please visit www.covenant.edu/presidentialsearch to see a list of search committee members, prayer requests, and a timeline of Covenant’s five presidents to date, and to submit nominations to the committee.

Though we regret seeing Dr. Nielson’s tenure as president come to an end next year, we trust in our good and faithful God to provide his successor, and we look forward to continuing to advance the College’s founding mission of exploring and expressing the preeminence of Jesus Christ in all things, by God’s grace, for many generations to come.

Sincerely,

Martin A. Moore Chairman, Presidential Search Committee
