Eastern Nazarene College

Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) is a private, co-educational, Christian liberal arts college located in Quincy, Massachusetts. Established in 1900 by the Church of the Nazarene, ENC is committed to providing a quality education grounded in the liberal arts and sciences and informed by a Christian worldview. The college offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate degree programs across five schools: Arts & Sciences, Business & Management, Education & Social Sciences, Nursing & Health Sciences, and Theology & Ministry.

ENC’s mission is to “prepare students for life-long learning through an education that integrates faith and learning within a caring community”. This commitment to faith-learning integration is evident throughout campus life - from chapel services and student organizations to service learning opportunities and spiritual formation initiatives. The college also emphasizes global engagement through study abroad experiences and partnerships with other universities around the world.

The college is home to just over 1,000 students representing 33 states and 15 countries. The student body is diverse in terms of race, ethnicity, gender identity/expression, religion/spirituality, sexual orientation/gender identity/expression (LGBTQIA+), socio-economic status, ability level/disability status, age/generation gap, etc. ENC also strives to create an inclusive campus environment that supports all gender identities and expressions; the college has gender-inclusive housing options available for all residential students.

In addition to its academic offerings and commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives on campus, ENC also provides a range of extracurricular activities for students including athletics (Division III), clubs & organizations (over 50!), student government associations (SGA), Greek life organizations (social fraternities & sororities), intramural sports teams (soccer, basketball, volleyball), student media outlets (radio station WECB 89.5FM), etc.

ENC is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) as well as several professional accrediting bodies such as AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business; Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs; Council on Social Work Education; National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education; National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission; etc.
