Erskine College

Erskine College is a private, Christian liberal arts college located in Due West, South Carolina. Founded in 1839 by the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARPC), Erskine is the oldest college in South Carolina and the only one associated with the ARPC. The college offers bachelor's degrees in over 30 areas of study and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

Erskine College has a total enrollment of approximately 1,200 students, including both undergraduate and graduate students. The student body is composed of individuals from more than 20 states and countries around the world. Erskine prides itself on its small class sizes, which allow for more individualized instruction. There are also a variety of student organizations to join, such as intramural sports teams, religious organizations, honor societies, and social clubs.

The campus of Erskine College covers over 350 acres and features several historic buildings that date back to its founding in 1839. These include Memorial Hall (the first building constructed on campus), Blythe Hall (the oldest residence hall), and Robinson Hall (the first academic building). The college also features several modern facilities such as an athletic center, library, chapel, student center, bookstore, and dining hall.

Erskine College has a strong commitment to its Christian heritage and values. The college offers several spiritual opportunities for students including weekly chapel services and Bible studies. There are also various ministries on campus that provide support for those seeking spiritual guidance or fellowship.

The academic program at Erskine College is divided into three divisions: Arts & Sciences; Professional Studies; and Education & Human Development. Within each division there are several majors to choose from including business administration, psychology, education, communication studies, biology/pre-medicine/pre-veterinary medicine/pre-dentistry/pre-pharmacy/pre-optometry/pre-physical therapy/pre-occupational therapy/exercise science/sports management/healthcare management/nursing/engineering physics/computer science/mathematics & statistics; history & political science; English & literature; fine arts; music; philosophy & religion; theatre arts; visual arts; sport management & coaching; teacher education; health sciences & kinesiology.

In addition to the academic programs offered at Erskine College there are also many extracurricular activities available for students to participate in such as intramural sports teams or various clubs like theater or music ensembles.
