George Fox University

George Fox University is a private Christian university located in Newberg, Oregon. Founded in 1885 by Quaker pioneers, the university has a long history of providing students with an education grounded in faith and service. The university is affiliated with the Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends, a regional organization of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

The main campus is situated on 105 acres and includes a variety of academic buildings, residence halls, and athletic facilities. The school also has several satellite campuses throughout Oregon and Washington. George Fox University offers more than 40 undergraduate majors, including business, education, engineering, psychology, and theology. It also offers numerous graduate programs in areas such as business administration, counseling psychology, ministry leadership, and social work.

The university emphasizes experiential learning opportunities for its students. Students can participate in internships with local businesses or organizations to gain real-world experience in their chosen field. Study abroad programs are also available to give students the chance to explore different cultures while earning college credit. George Fox University also encourages its students to get involved in community service projects both on campus and off campus.

In addition to academics and spiritual life activities the university provides many opportunities for student involvement through clubs and organizations such as student government associations (SGA), student media outlets (newspaper/radio station), intramural sports teams (basketball/soccer/volleyball), Greek life (fraternities/sororities), outdoor recreation clubs (hiking/biking/skiing/surfing), service clubs (community service projects) and more than 30 other clubs related to academic majors or special interests.
