Goshen College

Goshen College is a private Mennonite liberal arts college located in Goshen, Indiana. It was founded in 1894 by the Mennonite Church and is affiliated with the church. It is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU). The college offers more than 40 majors, minors and pre-professional programs, as well as graduate programs in nursing, education and business.

The campus covers about 100 acres and includes several historic buildings such as the Administration Building, which dates back to 1895; the Science Building, built in 1905; and the Music Center, built in 1926. The college also has several modern facilities such as an art gallery, library, chapel, athletic center and student center.

Goshen College has a strong commitment to service learning and social justice. Students are encouraged to engage in community service projects throughout their time at the college. Service learning opportunities include internships with local non-profits or social justice organizations as well as participation in service trips abroad.

The college also has a strong emphasis on global education. Students can study abroad through semester-long programs or short-term courses offered during breaks or summer months. Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in international internships or research projects through Goshen’s Global Engagement program.

Goshen College also offers a variety of student activities including intramural sports teams, clubs and organizations such as Student Senate and Campus Ministries. There are also numerous performing arts ensembles including choirs, bands, orchestras and theater groups that students can join to showcase their talents.

Goshen College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). Additionally, it holds memberships with other organizations such as AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) and National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).
