LeTourneau University

LeTourneau University is a private Christian university located in Longview, Texas. It was founded in 1946 by R.G. LeTourneau and his wife Evelyn as LeTourneau Technical Institute, offering technical training in the engineering and industrial trades. In 1961, it was renamed LeTourneau College and began offering bachelor's degrees in engineering and other disciplines. In 1989, the college became LeTourneau University, granting master's degrees for the first time.

Today, LeTourneau offers over 90 undergraduate and graduate programs across its five colleges: the College of Engineering and Aviation; the College of Business; the College of Education; the College of Nursing & Health Sciences; and the College of Arts & Sciences. The university also offers a variety of online degree options for students who want to study from home or abroad.

LeTourneau is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). It is also accredited by several other organizations including ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology), AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education), CAEP (Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation), and CACREP (Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs).

LeTourneau has an enrollment of over 3,000 students from all 50 states and more than 40 countries around the world. The student-faculty ratio is 14:1, allowing students to receive personalized attention from their professors. The university also provides a variety of student services such as academic advising, career counseling, disability services, health services, mental health counseling, religious life activities, student activities & organizations, study abroad opportunities, tutoring services and more.

The university promotes a vibrant campus life with numerous clubs & organizations that allow students to explore their interests outside of academics. There are also many intramural sports teams available for students who want to stay active while attending school. Additionally, there are numerous volunteer opportunities available both on-campus and off-campus that give students an opportunity to give back to their community while learning valuable skills for their future careers.
