Lincoln Christian College and Seminary

Lincoln Christian College and Seminary (LCCS) is located in Lincoln, Illinois, and is an accredited, four-year, private Christian college and seminary. The college offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Bible, ministry, and related fields. The school was founded in 1944 by Dr. J. Vernon McGee as a Bible institute to train Christians for service in the church.

The mission of LCCS is to “equip people for servant leadership in the church and world through biblical higher education”. The school seeks to provide a quality education that is rooted in the Bible and Christ-centered principles. This includes offering courses that are grounded in biblical scholarship, offering experiential learning opportunities, providing spiritual formation experiences, and helping students develop a Christ-like character.

LCCS offers several undergraduate degrees including Biblical Studies, Christian Ministry, Music Ministry, Intercultural Studies, Education Studies, Psychology & Counseling Studies and Business Administration & Leadership Studies. Graduate degrees offered include Biblical Studies (MABS), Christian Ministry (MACM), Intercultural Studies (MAIS), Psychology & Counseling (MAPC), Music Ministry (MAMM), Education (MAED), and Business Administration & Leadership (MABL). In addition to these degree programs LCCS also offers certificates in Biblical Languages or Missions & Intercultural Ministries as well as online degree programs.

The college also provides several student services such as counseling services through their Student Life Office which includes academic advising and career counseling; spiritual formation through chapel services; student activities such as intramurals; student organizations like the Student Government Association; campus ministries such as Cru or Campus House; online library services; health services; campus security; residence life; dining services; international student services; disability services; alumni relations office; athletics department with men's basketball, baseball and soccer teams competing at the NAIA level; and more.

LCCS seeks to prepare its students for lives of service by providing them with an education that is grounded in faith-based principles while equipping them with knowledge from a variety of disciplines that will help them lead successful lives both professionally and spiritually.
