New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary

New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS) is a private, non-profit, evangelical Christian seminary located in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and was founded in 1917 by a group of pastors and laymen from the city. NOBTS offers graduate and undergraduate degrees in theological studies, biblical studies, Christian counseling, church history and ministry. The seminary is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award master's degrees.

NOBTS is committed to teaching students to serve God through effective ministry in the local church and beyond. Its mission is to equip students for service as pastors, evangelists, missionaries, chaplains, teachers, counselors and other Christian workers. The seminary offers a variety of courses which are designed to provide students with an understanding of the Bible as well as an understanding of how to apply it in their lives. In addition to its academic programs, NOBTS provides spiritual formation opportunities through its chapel services and student organizations.

The seminary's main campus is located in New Orleans' historic Carrollton neighborhood on South Claiborne Avenue. It also has satellite campuses throughout Louisiana as well as one in Jacksonville, Florida. NOBTS offers both residential (on-campus) and non-residential (online) programs for those who cannot attend classes on-campus due to geographical or scheduling constraints. Additionally, NOBTS has partnerships with other seminaries around the world that allow students to take courses at those institutions while still being enrolled at NOBTS.

NOBTS also offers a range of degree programs including Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Arts (MA), Doctorate of Ministry (DMin), Doctorate of Educational Ministry (DEdMin), Doctorate of Missiology (DMiss), Doctorate in Educational Leadership (EDL), Certificate Programs and more than 50 concentrations ranging from Biblical Studies to Church Planting & Revitalization to Systematic Theology & Apologetics.
