Spring Arbor University

Spring Arbor University (SAU) is a private, Christian liberal arts university located in Spring Arbor, Michigan. Founded in 1873 by leaders of the Free Methodist Church, SAU offers more than 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs to its students. With an enrollment of over 3,000 students, SAU is one of the largest universities in the state.

The university’s core values are based on Christian principles and include excellence, integrity and service. These values are reflected in its mission statement: “to provide an excellent education grounded in the liberal arts tradition and shaped by a commitment to the Christian faith.”

At SAU, students are encouraged to explore their interests through a variety of majors and minors offered by the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Professional Studies and Graduate School. The university also offers numerous study abroad opportunities for students who wish to gain international experience.

In addition to its academics, SAU provides a wide range of extracurricular activities that help foster student development outside of the classroom. These include student organizations such as student government, honor societies and special interest groups; intramural sports; music ensembles; theatre productions; and community service projects. The university also hosts several large-scale events each year such as homecoming celebrations, religious services and holiday festivities.

The campus itself is situated on 200 acres of beautiful wooded land just outside of Jackson County. It features several modern buildings including residence halls, classroom buildings, a library, athletic facilities and dining areas. The campus also includes a variety of recreational spaces such as walking trails, tennis courts and basketball courts for students to enjoy during their free time.

In addition to its academic offerings and extracurricular activities, Spring Arbor University offers its students a supportive community where they can build lasting relationships with faculty members and peers alike. With its strong commitment to Christian values as well as its dedication to providing quality education for every student who walks through its doors – it’s no wonder why so many people choose SAU as their college home!
