Taylor University College & Seminary

Taylor University College & Seminary is an evangelical Christian university located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Established in 1892 by the Free Methodist Church of North America, Taylor was the first post-secondary institution to be established in Alberta. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees, including a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry.

Taylor has a strong commitment to providing students with an education that is both academically rigorous and deeply rooted in Christian faith. The university’s core values are faith, learning, service, community and stewardship. These values are reflected in its mission statement: “to prepare men and women to serve God and society through their lives and work by providing excellent education within a community of faith”.

Taylor offers more than 40 undergraduate programs across four faculties: Arts & Humanities; Education; Science & Technology; and Social Sciences & Business. Programs range from Bachelor of Arts degrees to Bachelor of Science degrees, as well as professional programs such as the Bachelor of Education degree.

At the graduate level, Taylor offers Master’s degrees in Divinity (M.Div.), Theology (Th.M.), Leadership (M.L.), Education (MEd), Counselling Psychology (MCP), Business Administration (MBA) and Social Work (MSW). The seminary also offers Doctoral degrees in Ministry (DMin) and Counselling Psychology (PhD).

In addition to its academic programs, Taylor provides a variety of student services such as counselling services, career services and student support services. Student life at Taylor is vibrant with numerous clubs, organizations and activities that encourage students to get involved on campus and develop meaningful relationships with each other.
