Westmont College

Westmont College is a private, Christian liberal arts college located in Santa Barbara, California. Founded in 1937, Westmont is affiliated with the Interdenominational Association of Evangelical Colleges and Universities and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission.

Westmont has a total undergraduate enrollment of 1,622 students with a student-faculty ratio of 12:1. The college offers over 40 majors and 24 minors as well as two master's programs in Counseling Psychology and Teaching.

The college is located on a beautiful 100-acre campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean. On campus, there are numerous buildings including residence halls, academic buildings, an athletic complex, library, chapel, dining hall and more.

Westmont offers many opportunities for students to get involved on campus such as intramural sports teams, student organizations, clubs and activities including music ensembles and theatre productions. The college also offers study abroad opportunities for students to gain global experience through semester or year-long programs in countries such as England, France or Spain.

In addition to academic excellence, Westmont also emphasizes spiritual growth for its students through its chapel services which are held three times a week as well as through student ministries such as Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) or InterVarsity Christian Fellowship which provide Bible studies and discipleship groups for students.

The college also has many service opportunities available both on campus and off campus with local organizations such as Habitat for Humanity or United Way. Westmont also encourages its faculty members to engage in research projects which benefit society both locally and globally.
